Hike to one of Rio’s iconic peaks, ride through Vidigal, enjoy the views, and finish with a taste of the local vibe.
What you'll do
In this experience, we will hike to the top of the Two Brother’s Hill, to check one of the most stunning viewpoints of the city.
Located in the south coast of Rio, between the neighborhoods of Leblon and São Conrado, the Two Brother’s Hill is a granite and gneiss rock formation that paints the iconic silluete of Rio de Janeiro landscape.
We will meet in front of the Sheraton Hotel and walk together the Vidigal neighborhood, from where we will take a local transport to the “Vila Olímpica do Vidigal” where our hike begins. This local transport is done with motorbikes (aka mototaxi) driven by local people.
The trail is 1.5km long and is considered easy to some people and moderate to others. Presenting some steep stretches, we will hike on constant uphill for 70 minutes to reach the top of the “big brother” mountain that has 550m altitude.
Once in the peak we will take time to relax, enjoy the view, take in the beauty and relax. I will explain some stories of Rio, the curiosities of the Vidigal and Rocinha communities and share the knowledge of our beautiful forest with you.
Then we will hike down for 60 min and finish our experience having a delicious açaí bowl, a cold coconut or a local beer in the Leblon Viewpoint. It will be a day to remember!
OBS: The guest should bring R$30,00 in cash:
- R$ 20,00 to pay for the return ride on motorbike we will all use to reach the starting point of the hike;
- R$ 10,00 for the community donation fee. (this fee can also be replaced by a 1kg bag of a non-perishable food)

Itinerary
- 06:00 – Meet & Greet at Sheraton Hotel
- 06:20 – Get a Mototaxi
- 06:30 – Start the hike
- 07:45 – Arrival at the top
- 08:45 – Start the hike down
- 09:45 – End of the trail
- 10:00 – Walk towards Leblon Sightseeing for a refreshment

What to Bring
All participants must bring:
- Water, repellent, suncream, a hat, sunglasses
- Snacks (optional)
- Wear suitable shoes (trainers or hiking boots but no flip flops please) and comfortable clothes
- Personal medication (asthma spray, antihistaminic, pain killers etc)
- R$ 30,00 in cash for the local transport and community fee
Important Information
- Please advise we will be using a motorbike driven by a local driver to access the beginning of the trail, inside the Vidigal community
- This experience is not recommended for people with heart conditions, back problems, or any serious illnesses
- This activity will be cancelled in case of rain and the guest will have a full refund
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time with full refund
- Cancellations made after 24 hours before the start time will not be refunded
