Hike to one of Rio’s iconic peaks, ride through Vidigal, enjoy the views, and finish with a taste of the local vibe.
What you'll do
We’ll meet at Alto da Boa Vista and entry the Tijuca National Park where we’ll be welcomed with the stunning view of the Taunay Waterfall, the most famous cascade in the Park with its 35m free fall beauty.
From there we will hike through beautiful trails, discovering historical places surrounded by the impressive vegetation of the Rain Forest that create the stunning scenery of the Park.
Our first stop is at Cachoeira das Almas (waterfall) where we can take a ‘shower” under its fall. Then we pass by the Floresta restaurant, a historical building, to hit the Caves Trail and discover the Belmiro, Archer and Bats Caves, being surprised by huge rocks and granit walls along this part of the Forest.
After visiting the caves we’ll stop at the Cristalina and Baronesa waterfalls to fresh n’ up and hike back on a different path, allowing time to visit to the Gabriela fall where we take time to relax, have a snack, enjoy the place and feel the Rain Forest.
The trails are mostly easy, with some small bits of humid and slipery soil, but no big difficulties.
All the waterfalls have natural crystal water that rises from the water basins of the Park. All the caves visited are safe and do not pose any danger to the guests. It is a day to remember!
